Data Privacy Agreement

This Data Privacy Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between Pxlit, a US-based company ("Pxlit," "we," or "us"), and the user of the Pxlit video editing application (the "User" or "you"). This Agreement governs the collection, use, and protection of personal information provided by the User in connection with the use of the Pxlit application (the "App").
1. Information Collected
Pxlit may collect the following types of information from the User:
- Personal Information: Such as name, email address, and other contact information provided by the User.
- Usage Data: Information about how the User interacts with the App, including preferences, settings, and specific editing decisions made while using the App. This may include, but is not limited to, the specific frames, images, audio segments, color tones, lighting changes, and volume adjustments chosen by the User during the editing process.
2. Use of Information
Pxlit may use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and improve the functionality of the App
- To communicate with the User, respond to inquiries, and provide support.
- To personalize the User experience and enhance user satisfaction.
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the overall quality of the App.
4. Data Security
Pxlit employs reasonable security measures to protect the User's personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and Pxlit cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
Pxlit will retain User information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Agreement, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
6. User Rights
Users have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal information tied to their Pxlit account. Requests for such actions can be made by contacting Pxlit at [[email protected]].
All usage data, including specific editing decisions made by the user, is tied to the configuration of "stories" created by the user within the App. If a story is deleted, so is the usage data associated with the story, as well as copies of media files stored specifically in support of the story.
Users can manage their "stories" directly within the App, and the deletion of a "story" will result in the removal of associated usage data and media files.
7. Updates to the Privacy Agreement
Pxlit reserves the right to update this Data Privacy Agreement periodically. Users will be notified of any material changes, and continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
8. Governing Law
This Data Privacy Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States.
By using the Pxlit App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Data Privacy Agreement and agree to the collection and use of your information as described herein.
